Visa-Free Entry Options

Unilateral Visa-Free Entry (Up to 30 Days) Citizens of 46 countries holding ordinary passports may enter China without a visa for up to 30 days. Eligible purposes include business, tourism, family visits, cultural exchange, and transit.

Countries include: Brunei, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain.

Bilateral Visa Exemption Agreements China has signed mutual visa exemption agreements with 29 countries. Citizens holding eligible passports may enter China visa-free for short-term stays, subject to the terms of each agreement.

Countries include: Albania, United Arab Emirates, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bahamas, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dominica, Ecuador, Fiji, Grenada, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Maldives, Mauritius, Samoa, Serbia, Seychelles, San Marino, Suriname, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Tonga, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Malaysia.

144-Hour Transit Visa-Free Policy Effective June 12, 2025, Indonesian citizens are now eligible for China’s 144-hour (six-day) transit visa-free program. This brings the total number of applicable countries to 55. Travelers must hold confirmed onward tickets to a third country or region and transit through designated Chinese cities.

Eligible countries include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, Russia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Belarus, Norway, United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia.
