Understanding the Components of a Laparoscopic Trocar
Understanding the Components of a Laparoscopic Trocar
A laparoscopic trocar consists of three essential components: the obturator, the cannula, and the seal. Let’s break down their roles: Obturator: The obturator is a pointed, often triangular instrument used to pierce the body wall and create an initial entry point. Think of it as the “key” that opens the door to the abdominal cavity during laparoscopic surgery. Cannula: The cannula serves as the hollow tube through which instruments or cameras are inserted into the body cavity. It’s like the tunnel that allows access to the surgical site. Cannulas come in various sizes and shapes, customized for specific surgical needs. Seal: An important feature in modern trocars, the seal helps maintain pneumoperitoneum. Pneumoperitoneum involves insufflating the abdominal cavity with gas (usually carbon dioxide) to create a working space for the surgeon. The seal ensures a gastight environment by preventing gas escape, allowing the procedure to proceed smoothly. Modern laparoscopic trocars prioritize safety and efficiency. Some trocars have safety shields that retract upon entry, protecting internal organs. Others incorporate optical systems for visual guidance during insertion. Additionally, trocars are available in both reusable and disposable variants, each offering advantages based on the surgical context and economic considerations. Surgsci Medical Ltd. is a reputable manufacturer and supplier of laparoscopic trocars. We offer OEM services and a wide range of trocar sizes and models for you to choose from. The algorithm intelligently identifies different tissues and adjusts energy output accordingly, achieving maximum cutting efficiency and coagulation capability with the lowest energy consumption.   Low-Heating Cutting Control Algorithm This algorithm monitors real-time temperature changes and tissue status during the cutting process, intelligently adjusting energy output to achieve maximum cutting speed with the lowest energy consumption. As a result, the temperature of the blade during surgery is lower, minimizing heat damage and enhancing surgical safety.   AI Temperature Detection Algorithm This algorithm continuously analyzes the changes generated by various data during the excitation process of the blade, using AI technology for classification, recognition, and training to achieve precise temperature monitoring. When the temperature exceeds the limit, it issues a warning and guides doctors to take appropriate measures to reduce tissue heat damage caused by overheating of the blade.   Forceps Collision Detection Algorithm This algorithm analyzes various data changes during the operation of the blade, using AI algorithm technology to identify, classify, and train the data, detecting the signal characteristics of collisions between the blade and other forceps and rapidly identifying them. When a collision occurs, the energy is quickly recovered until the collision ends, and the collision event is indicated on the screen, thereby enhancing the safety of intraoperative ultrasonic scalpel use and reducing the risk of blade breakage.   Tissue Cutting Completion Warning Algorithm This algorithm analyzes various data changes during the operation of the blade, utilizing AI algorithm technology for data recognition, classification, and training. When tissues are severed, the algorithm alerts the operator through sound prompts, while simultaneously reducing energy output to minimize friction at the forceps, lower blade temperature, and enhance cutting accuracy.

Clinical Classification of Bladder Tuberculosis | Surgsci
Clinical Classification of Bladder Tuberculosis | Surgsci
Overview: Bladder tuberculosis, also known as tuberculosis of the bladder, is a chronic, progressive, and destructive condition caused by infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It often occurs as a secondary infection following renal tuberculosis, and in rare cases, it can spread from prostatic tuberculosis. Initial symptoms include urinary frequency, which gradually worsens along with urgency, dysuria, and hematuria. Systemic symptoms such as low-grade fever and night sweats may also be present. Clinically, treatment primarily involves adequate and prolonged administration of anti-tuberculosis drugs, with surgical intervention if necessary.   Epidemiology: Infectiousness: Bladder tuberculosis is considered non-infectious in most cases, as it is an extrapulmonary form of tuberculosis. However, if a patient has concurrent pulmonary tuberculosis, transmission can occur through respiratory routes.   High-Risk Groups: Young adults with a history of pulmonary or renal tuberculosis.   Immunocompromised individuals. Trends in Incidence: While authoritative data on the incidence trend of bladder tuberculosis is lacking, it is worth noting that overall tuberculosis rates have decreased due to improved living standards, environmental awareness, and vaccine promotion. However, recent increases in drug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis, population mobility, and HIV prevalence have led to a resurgence of global tuberculosis cases.   Basic Etiology: Pathogen: Bladder tuberculosis results from invasion by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the causative agent of tuberculosis. These slender, slightly curved acid-fast bacilli are obligate aerobes with an optimal growth temperature of 37°C. Although they can affect various organs, pulmonary tuberculosis remains the most common form. Route of Infection: Mycobacterium tuberculosis enters the bladder via the respiratory tract and subsequently disseminates through the bloodstream to the kidneys, eventually reaching the bladder via urine flow.   Risk Factors: Poor living conditions and economic disadvantage increase the risk of infection. Individuals with underlying conditions such as diabetes, silicosis, or whooping cough are at higher risk. Immunosuppressed individuals or those receiving steroid or immunosuppressive therapy are also more susceptible to infection.   Typical Symptoms: Bladder Irritation Symptoms: Initial symptoms include urinary frequency, urgency, and dysuria. Nocturia increases gradually, with nighttime voiding occurring 3–5 times initially and later escalating to 10–20 times. Severe bladder mucosal damage may cause burning or painful sensations during urination.   Hematuria: Hematuria is usually microscopic or occasionally visible as gross hematuria with clots. Bladder contraction during voiding leads to ulceration and bleeding. Terminal hematuria is common.   Pyuria: Severe cases may exhibit urine containing cheesy material, appearing turbid like rice soup. Occasionally, blood-tinged or purulent urine may be present.   Systemic Symptoms: Patients with active systemic tuberculosis may experience fatigue, low-grade fever, and night sweats.   Complications: Bladder Contraction: Tuberculous bladder contraction results from severe fibrosis due to involvement of the bladder muscle layer.   Hydronephrosis: Tuberculosis-related bladder narrowing and contraction can obstruct urine flow, leading to hydronephrosis.   Spontaneous Rupture of Tuberculous Bladder: A late-stage complication characterized by full-thickness bladder wall involvement, resulting in caseous necrosis and thinning of affected tissue. Patients may experience sudden abdominal pain without external trauma.   Genitourinary Tuberculosis: Mycobacterium tuberculosis can enter the male reproductive system via the prostatic ducts, ejaculatory ducts, causing prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, epididymitis, and orchitis.   Diagnostic Workup: Laboratory Tests: Urinalysis reveals acidic urine, positive urine protein, and increased red and white blood cells. Acid-fast staining of urine sediment detects mycobacteria in approximately 50%–70% of cases. Urine culture for tuberculous bacilli (takes 4–8 weeks) is crucial for diagnosing renal tuberculosis.   Tuberculin Skin Test: Evaluates type IV hypersensitivity response to tuberculin antigen, indicating exposure to tuberculosis or response to BCG vaccination. Urinary Tract Plain Film + Intravenous Urography (IVU): Urinary Tract Plain Film (UTPF): UTPF is useful for observing bladder calcifications. Intravenous Urography (IVU): IVU provides information about renal function, the extent of lesions, and the affected areas.   MRI: MRI with water imaging is particularly valuable for diagnosing concurrent renal tuberculosis and assessing the presence of hydronephrosis. Other Examinations:   Cystoscopy: A specialized procedure involving the insertion of an instrument with a light source through the urethra to visualize changes within the bladder. Cystoscopy allows observation of bladder mucosal lesions, measurement of bladder volume, and collection of clean urine samples for further examination. Typical findings of tuberculous cystitis during cystoscopy include the formation of tuberculous nodules or varying-sized ulcerated areas on the mucosa.     About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. Clinical Diagnosis And Physiological Care Of Bladder Cancer | Surgsci
Clinical Diagnosis And Physiological Care Of Bladder Cancer | Surgsci
Overview of Bladder Cancer   Bladder cancer refers to a malignant tumor that occurs on the bladder mucosa. It is the most common malignant tumor in the urinary system and one of the top ten common tumors in the body. It accounts for the first place in the incidence of urogenital tumors in China, and its incidence in the West is second only to prostate cancer, ranking second. In 2012, the incidence of bladder cancer in the national cancer registration area was 6.61/100,000, ranking ninth in the incidence of malignant tumors. Bladder cancer can occur at any age, even in children. Its incidence increases with age, and the high incidence age is 50-70 years old. The incidence of bladder cancer in men is 3-4 times that of women. In the past, the epithelium on the bladder mucosa was called transitional cells. In 1998, WHO and the International Urological Pathology Society jointly recommended the use of the term urothelial instead of transitional cells to distinguish it from transitional epithelium in the nasal cavity and ovaries, making urothelial a proprietary term for the urinary system. In the 2004 WHO “Pathology and Genetics of Urinary System and Male Reproductive Organs”, the histological classification of urinary system tumors includes bladder urothelial carcinoma, bladder squamous cell carcinoma, bladder adenocarcinoma, and other rare ones include bladder clear cell carcinoma, bladder small cell carcinoma, bladder-like carcinoma. The most common is bladder urothelial carcinoma, which accounts for more than 90% of the total number of bladder cancer patients. Usually, bladder cancer refers to bladder urothelial carcinoma, which was previously called bladder transitional cell carcinoma. Causes of Bladder Cancer   The cause of bladder cancer is complex, with both inherent genetic factors and external environmental factors. The two most clear pathogenic risk factors are smoking and occupational exposure to aromatic amines. Smoking is currently the most certain risk factor for bladder cancer. 30%-50% of bladder cancer is caused by smoking. Smoking can increase the risk of bladder cancer by 2-6 times. As the smoking time prolongs, the incidence of bladder cancer also significantly increases. Another important pathogenic risk factor is related to a series of occupations or occupational exposures. It has been confirmed that aniline, diamino diphenyl, 2-naphthylamine, 1-naphthylamine are all carcinogens of bladder cancer. Long-term exposure to these chemicals increases the probability of bladder cancer. Occupational factors account for about 25% of the total number of bladder cancer patients. Occupations related to bladder cancer include aluminum products, coal tar, asphalt, dyes, rubber, coal gasification and other industries. Clinical Manifestations   About 90% or more of bladder cancer patients initially present with hematuria, usually manifested as painless, intermittent, gross hematuria throughout the course, sometimes also as microscopic hematuria. Hematuria may only appear once or last for one day to several days, and it can alleviate or stop on its own. Sometimes the coincidence of the patient taking medicine and the cessation of hematuria often gives the patient the illusion of “cure”. Some patients may have hematuria again after a certain period of time. The color of hematuria varies from light red to dark brown, often dark red. Some patients describe it as meat washing water and tea water. The amount of bleeding and the length of hematuria are not necessarily proportional to the malignancy, size, range, and number of tumors. Sometimes when gross hematuria occurs, the tumor is already large or late; sometimes a small tumor can cause a large amount of hematuria. Some patients are found to have tumors in the bladder during health check-ups by B-ultrasound. 10% of bladder cancer patients may first present with bladder irritation symptoms, manifested as frequent urination, urgency, dysuria, and difficulty urinating, and the patient has no obvious gross hematuria. This is mostly due to tumor necrosis, ulceration, large or multiple tumors in the bladder, or diffuse infiltration of bladder tumors into the bladder wall, causing a decrease in bladder capacity or concurrent infection. Tumors in the bladder trigone and bladder neck can obstruct the bladder outlet and cause symptoms of difficulty urinating.   Clinical Diagnosis   Physical examination and past history Examine the body to determine whether the general signs of health are normal, including checking for disease markers, such as lumps or anything else that looks abnormal. The patient’s health habits, past diseases and treatment history are also part of the examination. Internal examination For vaginal and/or rectal examination. The doctor will insert a gloved finger into the vagina and/or rectum to feel for any lumps. Urinalysis Check the color of the urine and the substances in the urine, such as sugar, protein, red blood cells, and white blood cells. Urine cytology examination Check the urine under a microscope to see if there are abnormal cells. Cystoscopy Cystoscopy is inserted into the bladder through the urethra. The cystoscope is a thin tubular instrument with a light source and a mirror for observation. The cystoscope may also have tools for tissue sampling, and the tissue samples are then examined under a microscope for signs of cancer.   Intravenous pyelography (IVP) A series of X-ray examinations of the kidneys, ureters, and bladder to see if cancer is present in these organs. The contrast agent is injected into the vein, and when the contrast agent moves through the kidneys, ureters, and bladder, an X-ray examination is performed to see if there are any blockages. Biopsy Remove part of the cells or tissues and have a pathologist look at them under a microscope to check for signs of cancer. The biopsy of bladder cancer is usually done during cystoscopy, and the entire tumor may be removed during the biopsy. Clinical Suggestions   Surgical treatment (1) Transurethral resection (TUR) with electrocautery: A surgery that inserts a cystoscope (thin and light tube) into the bladder through the urethra. Then use a tool with a small wire loop to remove the tumor or use high-energy electric shock to burn the tumor. This is what is called electrocautery. (2) Partial cystectomy: A surgery to remove part of the bladder. This surgery is suitable for patients with low-grade cancer, and the tumor has invaded the bladder wall but is limited to part of the bladder. Because only part of the bladder is removed, the patient can urinate normally after the surgery. This is also called segmental cystectomy. (3) Radical cystectomy: A surgery to remove the bladder and any lymph nodes and nearby organs containing cancer cells. When bladder cancer invades the muscle wall, or when superficial cancer affects a large part of the bladder, this surgery can be performed. For men, the nearby organs to be removed are the prostate and seminal vesicles. For women, the uterus, ovaries, and part of the vagina will be removed. Sometimes, when the tumor has spread outside the bladder and cannot be completely removed, a surgery to remove only the bladder can be performed to reduce the urinary symptoms caused by cancer. When the bladder must be removed, the surgeon will create another way to urinate. (4) Urinary diversion: A surgery to create a new way for the body to store and excrete urine. Even if the doctor removes all the cancer cells visible during the surgery, there will still be patients who will undergo chemotherapy after the surgery to kill any possible remaining cancer cells. The treatment given after the surgery to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence is called adjuvant therapy. Radiation therapy Radiation therapy is a type of cancer treatment that uses high-energy X-rays or other types of radiation to kill cancer cells or prevent them from growing. There are currently two types of radiation therapy. External radiation therapy uses a machine outside the body to radiate cancer. Internal radiation therapy uses radioactive substances sealed in needles, implanted particles, wires, or catheters, directly placed in and acting on cancer or near cancer. The way radiation therapy is given depends on the type and stage of the cancer being treated.   Chemotherapy Chemotherapy is a method of using drugs to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by preventing the cells from dividing. When chemotherapy is given by mouth or by injection into a vein or muscle, the drug enters the bloodstream and reaches all the cancer cells in the body (systemic chemotherapy). When chemotherapy drugs are placed directly in the cerebrospinal fluid, an organ, or a body cavity such as the abdomen, the drugs will mainly affect the cancer cells in these areas (regional chemotherapy). For bladder cancer, regional chemotherapy will be performed inside the bladder (put into the bladder through a tube inserted into the urethra).   Biological therapy Biological therapy is a treatment method that uses the patient’s immune system to fight cancer. Use substances produced by the body or in the laboratory to promote, induce, or restore the body’s natural defense mechanism against cancer. This type of cancer treatment is also called biotherapy or immunotherapy. Treatment of bladder cancer can also use BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guerin) intravesical biological therapy. Use a catheter (thin tube) to directly put the solution containing BCG into the bladder.   Living Care for Bladder Cancer   Psychological Care Patients with bladder cancer are prone to anxiety and panic, and they may struggle to accept the reality of urinary diversion. Healthcare providers should establish a good relationship with patients, actively communicate with patients and their families, and fully earn the trust of patients. They should explain the relevant knowledge of this disease in detail, inform patients of possible complications and adverse reactions, eliminate patients’ fear, anxiety, and even despair, and encourage patients to face the disease with a positive attitude and actively cooperate with treatment.   Disease Observation Before surgery, it is important to closely observe the patient’s hematuria. After surgery, closely monitor the patient’s vital signs, continuously monitor electrocardiography, observe and record changes in the patient’s pulse, heart rate, blood pressure, etc., and ensure the smoothness of the patient’s blood transfusion and fluid infusion. Observe the wound exudation situation and change dressings in time. Regularly monitor changes in the patient’s white blood cells and body temperature, and observe whether an infection occurs. Observe the color, nature, and volume of various drainage fluids. If a large amount of bright red fluid is drained in a short period of time, the doctor should be notified in time for treatment.   Dietary Care Before surgery, patients should be given high-protein, easily digestible, and highly nutritious food. For patients with difficulty eating, intravenous nutritional support should be provided to correct anemia and improve the patient’s overall nutritional status. After transurethral bladder tumor electroresection surgery, the patient can eat 6 hours later. The diet should be rich in nutrition and coarse fiber foods, and spicy and irritating foods should be avoided.   Drainage Tube Care Different labels should be attached to various drainage tubes for distinction. The drainage tube should be properly fixed to prevent it from falling out. Keep the drainage smooth and avoid bending. Observe and record changes in the nature, color, and volume of the drainage fluid.   Pre- and Post-Chemotherapy Care If the patient’s condition allows and there is an indication for radiotherapy and chemotherapy, radiotherapy and chemotherapy will be performed half a month after surgery. Patients who can hold urine after bladder preservation surgery will immediately undergo bladder perfusion chemotherapy. Before bladder perfusion, the urine should be emptied to prevent dilution of the chemotherapy drug. After perfusion, the patient is advised to drink more water and urinate frequently to excrete the chemotherapy drug remaining in the bladder.   Company Introduction: Shenzhen SurgSci Medical Ltd., composed of clinical experts, industry veteran sales experts, high-level talents in Shenzhen, revolves around minimally invasive surgical ultrasound scalpels, electric staplers, surgical implant medical materials, etc., adheres to the product concept of import substitution and domestic breakthrough, and carries out technology research and development. Disposable Bladeless Visable Trocar | Surgsci
Disposable Bladeless Visable Trocar | Surgsci
In the realm of laparoscopic surgery, the use of trocars is indispensable. These devices are used to puncture the abdominal wall, creating a pathway for surgical instruments and endoscopes. Among the various types of trocars available, disposable bladeless trocars have gained significant attention due to their unique advantages.   What is a Disposable Bladeless Trocar? A disposable bladeless trocar is a device that features a non-bladed obturator, which seperates tissue instead of cutting it during insertion. This desin allows for smoother penetration, reducing damage to the abdominal wall and organs.   SurgSci's Bladeless Trocars: SurgSci, a leading manufacturer of surgical instruments, has made significant strides in the development of bladeless trocars. Their products are highly regarded for their performance, quality and design.   Rapid Penetration and Reduced Damage: One of the key advantages of SurgSci’s bladeless trocars is their ability to provide rapid penetration while minimizing damage to the abdominal wall and organs. This is achieved through the use of a bladeless tip, which separates tissue rather than cutting it.   Double Sealing Design: Another notable feature of SurgSci’s bladeless trocars is their double sealing design. This design ensures pneumoperitoneum, a crucial aspect of laparoscopic surgery where the abdominal cavity is inflated with CO2 gas to create a working space.   Customizable Specifications: SurgSci also offers the ability to customize the specifications of their bladeless trocars. This flexibility allows surgeons to choose the most suitable trocar for each specific procedure. About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. Distal Pancreatectomy: Procedure, Indications, and the Role of Ultrasonic Scalpel | Surgsci
Distal Pancreatectomy: Procedure, Indications, and the Role of Ultrasonic Scalpel | Surgsci
A distal pancreatectomy is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of the body and tail of the pancreas. The pancreas is an organ located in the abdomen, behind the stomach, and plays a crucial role in digestion and blood sugar regulation.   This surgery is typically performed when a patient has a tumor in the body or tail of the pancreas. Tumors pose a risk of spreading to other parts of the body, and removing them from the pancreas helps reduce that risk. Other conditions that may necessitate a distal pancreatectomy include acinar cell tumors, adenocarcinoma, ampullary cancer, cancer in the lower part of the bile duct, chronic pancreatitis, duodenal cancer, inflammation, and neuroendocrine tumors.   The procedure for a distal pancreatectomy involves making an incision to expose the pancreas and spleen clearly. The surgeon then explores these organs and decides how much to remove. The remaining part of the pancreas is closed with sutures (stitches) or staples1. The surgery usually takes 2 to 4 hours.   The use of an ultrasonic scalpel in distal pancreatectomy has several advantages. An ultrasonic scalpel is a surgical instrument that uses ultrasonic vibrations to cut through tissue and coagulate blood vessels simultaneously. This technology has been found to reduce the incidence of pancreatic fistula, a significant complication of distal pancreatectomy with a rather high incidence. Pancreatic fistula occurs when pancreatic fluid leaks from the pancreas, which can lead to serious complications such as infections and bleeding.   Furthermore, using an ultrasonic scalpel without any clamping or parenchymal suturing may reduce damage to the remnant pancreas. This is crucial because even though part of your pancreas will be removed during your surgery, there’s usually enough of it left after your surgery to make hormones (insulin and glucagon) and enzymes.   In conclusion, a distal pancreatectomy is a vital surgical procedure for treating tumors and other conditions in the body or tail of the pancreas. The use of an ultrasonic scalpel in this procedure offers significant benefits, including reducing complications and preserving pancreatic function.   About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. Advantages of SurgSci's Ultrasonic Scalpel in Thyroidectomy | Surgsci
Advantages of SurgSci's Ultrasonic Scalpel in Thyroidectomy | Surgsci
A thyroidectomy is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of all or part of the thyroid gland. The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland located at the front of your neck. It produces hormones that regulate your body’s metabolism, from your heart rate to how quickly you burn calories. Thyroidectomy is performed to treat thyroid disorders such as cancer, noncancerous enlargement of the thyroid (goiter), and overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism).   The use of SurgSci’s ultrasonic scalpel in thyroidectomy has several advantages: 1. Reduced operative time: The use of the ultrasonic scalpel can significantly reduce the time taken to perform the surgery. 2. Decreased postoperative pain: Patients who undergo surgery with an ultrasonic scalpel often report less pain after the operation. 3. Lower drainage volume: The use of an ultrasonic scalpel can reduce the amount of fluid that needs to be drained after surgery. 4. Prevention of transient hypocalcemia: Transient hypocalcemia, or low calcium levels in the blood after surgery, is less likely to occur when an ultrasonic scalpel is used. 5. Less instrument traffic: The ultrasonic scalpel can perform vessel sealing and tissue cutting simultaneously, reducing the need for multiple instruments. 6. Low smoke generation: The ultrasonic scalpel generates less smoke than other instruments, improving visibility during surgery. 7. Reduced lateral thermal spread and less charring: The temperature generated by the ultrasonic scalpel ranges from 50°C to 300°C, which reduces the lateral thermal spread and results in less charring. 8. Preservation of parathyroid glands: The use of an ultrasonic scalpel may facilitate dissection of the parathyroid glands in a plane farther away from the parathyroid gland capsule, thus reducing the chance of damaging their blood supply.   About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. Advantages of Valveless Disposable Trocar | Surgsci
Advantages of Valveless Disposable Trocar | Surgsci
Valveless disposable trocars offer several advantages compared to trocars with valves:   1. Simplified Instrument Exchange: Valveless trocars eliminate the need for a valve mechanism, enabling easier and more efficient instrument exchange during surgical procedures. This streamlined process saves time and enhances surgical workflow.   2. Reduced Risk of Obstruction: Trocars without valves minimize the risk of valve obstruction, which can occur due to tissue or debris build-up. The absence of valves ensures unobstructed instrument passage, maintaining optimal visualization and maneuverability during the procedure.   3. Enhanced Flow and Insufflation: Valveless trocars facilitate improved fluid flow and insufflation of the surgical site. Without valves impeding the flow, trocars can maintain a continuous and steady flow of gas or fluid, enhancing the surgeon's control and visualization.   4. Cost-Effectiveness: Valveless disposable trocars often offer a more cost-effective solution compared to trocars with valves. The simplified design eliminates the need for valve components, reducing manufacturing costs. This cost-effectiveness can benefit healthcare facilities and contribute to overall cost savings.   5. Reduced Risk of Cross-Contamination: Disposable valveless trocars minimize the risk of cross-contamination between patients since there are no valve mechanisms that require cleaning and sterilization between uses. Each trocar is individually packaged, ensuring a sterile and safe surgical environment.   6. Ease of Use: Valveless trocars are generally designed to be user-friendly, with straightforward insertion and removal procedures. Surgeons and healthcare professionals appreciate the simplicity and efficiency of these trocars during minimally invasive procedures.   7. Durability and Reliability: Despite their valveless design, these trocars are typically manufactured with durable and reliable materials, ensuring their performance and functionality throughout the surgical procedure.   About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. How to Use a Disposable Endo Cutter Stapler: A Step-by-Step Guide
How to Use a Disposable Endo Cutter Stapler: A Step-by-Step Guide
A disposable endo cutter stapler is a surgical instrument used to cut and staple tissue during laparoscopic surgery. It is important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use when using a disposable endo cutter stapler. Here are some general steps for using a disposable endo cutter stapler:   1. Load the stapler: Before using the stapler, it must be loaded with a new, sterile staple cartridge. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for loading the cartridge. 2. Position the stapler: Once the stapler is loaded, it can be inserted into the surgical site through a small incision. The surgeon will position the stapler so that the tissue to be cut and stapled is between the jaws of the stapler. 3. Close the jaws: The surgeon will then close the jaws of the stapler, clamping the tissue between them. 4. Fire the stapler: Once the tissue is securely clamped, the surgeon will fire the stapler. This will cut the tissue and simultaneously staple it on either side of the cut. 5. Release and remove: After firing, the surgeon will release the jaws of the stapler and remove it from the surgical site.

Understanding Gallbladder Removal Surgery: Procedure and Recovery
Understanding Gallbladder Removal Surgery: Procedure and Recovery
Gallbladder removal surgery, also known as a cholecystectomy, is a common procedure to remove the gallbladder, a small, pouch-like organ located in the upper right part of the abdomen that stores bile. Bile is a fluid produced by the liver that helps break down fatty foods. The gallbladder is not an essential organ, so surgery to remove it is often recommended if problems develop.   The most common reason for gallbladder removal is the presence of painful gallstones. These are small stones that can form in the gallbladder as a result of an imbalance in the substances that make up bile. Gallstones can cause no symptoms, but occasionally they can block the flow of bile and irritate the gallbladder or pancreas, causing symptoms such as sudden and intense abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, and jaundice. Surgery to remove the gallbladder is the most effective treatment in most cases.   There are two main ways to remove a gallbladder: laparoscopic (keyhole) cholecystectomy and open cholecystectomy. In a laparoscopic cholecystectomy, several small incisions are made in the abdomen and fine surgical instruments are used to access and remove the gallbladder. In an open cholecystectomy, a single larger incision is made in the abdomen to access and remove the gallbladder. Keyhole surgery is used most often because it allows for a faster recovery and smaller scars.   The typical steps of a laparoscopic cholecystectomy are as follows: 1. Creation of several small incisions on the abdomen. 2. Inflation of the abdomen for easy access. 3. Insertion of the laparoscope (small camera) and tiny surgical instruments through the incision. 4. Separation of muscles around the surrounding liver to expose the gallbladder. 5. Dissection and extraction of the gallbladder. 6. Closure of incisions.   Recovery from keyhole surgery to remove the gallbladder usually does not take long. Most people can leave the hospital on the same day or the next morning and return to most normal activities within two weeks. Recovery from open surgery takes longer; patients may need to stay in the hospital for three to five days and it could be six to eight weeks before they feel back to normal.   After gallbladder removal, patients can lead a perfectly normal life without a gallbladder. The liver will still produce enough bile to digest food, but instead of being stored in the gallbladder, it will drip continuously into the digestive system. Some people may experience bloating or diarrhea after surgery, but this usually improves within a few weeks. If certain foods or drinks trigger these symptoms, patients may wish to avoid them in the future.   In summary, gallbladder removal surgery is a common and low-risk procedure used to treat problems associated with the gallbladder, such as painful gallstones. The surgery can be performed using keyhole or open techniques and recovery time varies depending on the method used. After surgery, patients can lead normal lives without a gallbladder.

How to Use a Disposable Balloon Trocar | SurgSci
How to Use a Disposable Balloon Trocar | SurgSci
A disposable balloon trocar is a medical device used in laparoscopic surgery. It has a blunt tip and an inflatable balloon at the end which is inflated after insertion to create a seal around the incision site and prevent gas leakage during surgery. The device is used to create a port of entry for other surgical instruments during laparoscopic surgery.   Here are the general steps to use a disposable balloon trocar: 1. Make an incision in the skin using a scalpel. The incision should be small enough to allow the trocar to pass through but large enough to accommodate the surgical instrument. 2. Insert the trocar through the incision. The trocar should be inserted at a 90-degree angle to the skin and advanced until it reaches the abdominal cavity. 3. Inflate the balloon at the end of the trocar using a syringe. The balloon should be inflated with sterile saline solution or carbon dioxide gas until it creates a seal around the incision site. 4. Verify that the balloon is properly inflated and that there is no gas leakage. This can be done by observing the pressure gauge on the syringe or by listening for any hissing sounds. 5. Insert other surgical instruments through the trocar to perform surgery.     About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. 7 Benefits of Neutering or Spaying Your Cats | Surgsci
7 Benefits of Neutering or Spaying Your Cats | Surgsci
  1. Reduce the Number of Stray Cats Cats have a short estrus cycle and strong reproductive ability. If the cat is not neutered or spayed, you can imagine how many kittens will be born. If the owner can't afford it and doesn't help them find a good owner, these cats will become stray cats. It is even estimated that a pair of cats can breed 200,000 offspring in 7 years! So in order to reduce the number of stray cats, please neuter or spay the cats.   2. Disease Prevention The sterilization of male cats can prevent many congenital genetic diseases related to the reproductive system; for female cats, it can reduce physiological diseases such as mammary glands and ovaries.   3. Reduce Estrus in Cats Female cats start making funny noise and is more vocal than normal when they are in heat. After spaying, the excessive yowling or mating calls during estrus will be reduced.   4. Reduce Aggressiveness Neutered male cats will be less aggressive and will not pee everywhere to mark their territory, so you don't have to smell urine all the time in your house.   5. Change the Cat's Personality Many neutered cats will become tamer and less aggressive and stop fighting with other pets or their owners.   6. Prevent Cats from Running Away When the estrus period comes, the cat may run away from home, or even jump off the building and get injured. The cat's appetite will suddenly increase or decrease, and the quality of sleep will also deteriorate. These conditions will be improved after sterilization.   7. Prolong Life Neutered and spayed pets live longer, healthier, and happier lives because they have fewer behavioral problems, and they are less prone to infections, degenerative diseases, and trauma/violent death. Studies have shown that spayed female cats lived 39% longer and neutered male cats lived 62% longer.   About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. What is a Disposable Laparoscopic Trocar? | China Trocar Manufacturer-Surgsci
What is a Disposable Laparoscopic Trocar? | China Trocar Manufacturer-Surgsci
A trocar is a surgical instrument that penetrates the abdominal wall to provide a passage for other surgical instruments to enter the body cavity and is a minimally invasive surgical instrument. It is suitable for various minimally invasive surgical operations and laparoscopic operations. Its main function is to puncture the abdominal wall tissue of the human body during laparoscopic surgery, transport gas into the abdominal cavity, and establish a channel for the endoscope and surgical instruments to enter and exit the abdominal cavity from the outside.   There are different types of disposable trocars, such as hasson and balloon trocars; optical access trocars; bladed trocars; non-bladed, non-optiview trocars. They normally contain the following components: locking cap, piercing cannula assembly, locking seal cap assembly, locking switch, gas barrier sealing cap, insufflation valve, insufflation switch, retaining ring, one-way valve, a sealing patch, and a balloon. It has a compact structure that can be safe and effective. In clinical operations, it is easy to operate and can greatly reduce the wound area and shorten the operation time. Its use reduces bleeding and postoperative infection in patients while improving surgical quality, reducing postoperative pain, and speeding up healing. Due to the adoption of the fixing structure, the disposable trocar can be firmly fixed after being punctured into the body, and is not easy to fall off during the operation.   The disposable trocars independently developed by Surgsci mainly include:optical trocars (Endopass), bladed trocars (Quickpass), Hasson trocars (Hassonpass), bladeless trocars (Easypass), Valveless Trocars (Without Valve).   Surgsci's disposable trocars have the following advantages: Double V-blade design-low damage, easy to heal Full Sharp Angle Sleeve Barb Design-stable and reliable, no displacement Self-Developed Seal Material-scratch-resistant and tear-resistant Large Flow Gas Injection Valve Design-fast insufflation speed and stable abdominal pressure Contact Us: Email: service@surgsci.com Website: https://www.surgscience.com/ Wechat/WhatsApp: +86-15826764336

4 Advantages Of Spaying Your Dog | Surgsci
4 Advantages Of Spaying Your Dog | Surgsci
Now more and more people keep dogs, and with more dogs, there will be more things to do. One of them is neutering or spaying your own dog. When a female dog is spayed, her ovaries and uterus are completely removed. Some veterinarians choose only to remove the ovaries of the female dog during surgery.   Some people are hesitant about this and are unsure about having the procedure. In fact, considering the many benefits after surgery, it is still necessary. So, what are the benefits of spaying female dogs? Spaying a female dog has the following benefits:   1. Spaying helps preventing them from reproducing and creating unwanted dogs or puppies If dogs are not sterilized, it will only lead to more dogs, and eventually the number of dogs abandoned will greatly increase. The increase in the number of stray dogs will increase the probability of infecting and carrying the severe infectious disease rabies, endangering the lives of warm-blooded mammals and humans.   2. Spaying prevent uterine infections and breast cancer Sterilization of female dogs can effectively reduce the incidence of some common diseases. Including pyometra (high incidence in female dogs over 5 years old), pseudopregnancy, alopecia, breast tumors and other common diseases, and even reduce the recurrence rate of urethral stones.   3. Spaying helps increase life expectancy Spaying can help female dogs live longer. Studies shows that on average dogs who are neutered or spayed live one and a half years longer than those who are not. Dogs without doing spay surgery can live to be about eight years old. However, spayed dogs can live nine and a half years or more.   4. Spaying helps eliminate the troubles an anxiety during estrus After spaying, the dog will not be overly excited, manic and other temperament changes due to estrus, and will not have much interest in other dogs. This reduces the chances of your dog straying, getting lost, fighting, getting injured and getting sick.     The pet ultrasonic scalpel Surgsci developed can bring the following benefits to pets during surgery Quick recovery from minor wounds Sutureless for infection prevention Shorter surgery time to reduce anesthesia risk Quick cuts and hemostasis to reduce bleeding   More on Surgsci ultrasonic scalpel visit: https://www.surgscience.com/products-44632   Contact Us: Email: service@surgsci.com Website: https://www.surgscience.com/ Wechat/WhatsApp: +86-15826764336 (Max May)   About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. What is a Surgical Linner Cutter Stapler? | Surgsci
What is a Surgical Linner Cutter Stapler? | Surgsci
Surgical staplers and staples are medical devices that may be used in place of sutures. They are often used in minimally invasive surgery, such as gastrointestinal anastomosis. They can close large wounds or incisions more quickly and be less painful than stitches for patients. It is similar to traditional manual suturing. But with the addition of modern technology, it has a very significant effect in clinical use. The main working principle is to used large nails to its tissue is cut or anastomosed, and its function is more like a stapler. According to the scope of application, it can be divided into skin staplers, rectal staplers, and blood vessel staplers.   The cutter stapler has the following advantages: 1. Use titanium nails or stainless steel nails to suture tightly and moderately tight. 2. It is a one-time use to avoid cross-infection. 3. Fewer side effects and less surgical complications.     About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. 'INT J BIOL MACROMOL'——SurgSci's First High-Level SCI Article Year 2023
'INT J BIOL MACROMOL'——SurgSci's First High-Level SCI Article Year 2023
Recently, the biomedical materials R&D team of Shenzhen SurgSci Medical Ltd. made a research achievement titled "Hyaluronic acid and chitosan-based injectable and self-healing hydrogel with inherent antibacterial and antioxidant bioactivities" was published in the international SCI academic journal "INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF BIOLOGICAL MACROMOLECULES" (Chinese Academy of Sciences SCI Journal Area 1, IF=8.025, TOP journal).   Based on natural biomacromolecules, quaternary ammonium chitosan (QCS), tannic acid (TA) and oxidant hyaluronic acid (OHA), a new product called QCS-l-TA-l-OHA was developed. The hydrogel dressing ("l" is "link"), whose research inspiration comes from natural substances such as quaternary ammonium chitosan (QCS), tannic acid (TA), oxidant hyaluronic acid (OHA) and their derivatives The antibacterial, antioxidative and wound healing functions of the substance have fully exerted the biological activity of the new intelligent multifunctional hydrogel, a natural substance and its derivatives, and has broad application prospects for the development of the biomedical field.     In order to study the intrinsic antibacterial and antioxidant biological activities of the dressing, the team members designed the molecular structure of the QCS-l-TA-l-OHA hydrogel and used the hydrogel as a rat full-thickness skin incision model wound. The dressing is composed of QCS, OHA, TA and the cross-linked bonds of the polymer network to build a chemical structure. Under the action of dynamic imine bonds and multiple hydrogen bonds between the amino groups on QCS and the aldehyde groups on OHA, The PBS solution of OHA and QCS containing TA formula (TA + OHA) were respectively filled into a double-barreled syringe, and injected directly into the target wound at the same time, and it was concluded that the hydrogel can quickly gel in situ and seamlessly fill and fit The results of irregular wounds have further verified that hydrogel is beneficial to promote the rapid healing of various skin wounds and physiological wounds, and avoid patients from excessive use of antibiotics or antioxidants in a long treatment cycle, which is an urgent need for clinical wound management provided important support.     In order to evaluate the in vivo gelation formation ability of QCS-l-TA-l-OHA hydrogel, the team members subcutaneously injected the precursor polymerization solution in the back of rats to realize in situ gelation, and the gelation could maintain enough completeness and strength. The healing-accelerating performance of QCS-l-TA-l-OHA hydrogel was evaluated through a full-thickness wound defect model, which proved that it has excellent antibacterial, antioxidative and wound healing abilities.   QCS-l-TA-l-OHA hydrogel significantly promotes wound healing in rat skin full-thickness incision model The SurgSci team further analyzed the therapeutic effect of the hydrogel on living skin wounds by H&E histological staining. The results showed that the TA added in the QCS-l-TA-l-OHA hydrogel has antibacterial and antioxidant effects, and is better for It is very important to improve skin wound healing, and the hydrogel has a significant therapeutic effect on granulation tissue thickening. QCS-l-TA-l-OHA has good results in the evaluation of skin tissue repair   QCS-l-TA-l-OHA hydrogel, as a novel biological substance, can be administered in vivo by endoscope or injected by injection needle in clinic, which can provide minimally invasive treatment and local specific wound care to some extent. The treatment has opened up a new way and brought new gospel to the biomedical community. In the future, QCS-l-TA-l-OHA hydrogel is expected to become a new type of biomaterial for wound healing.     About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. We adhere to the mission of independent research and development, popularize minimally invasive medical technology, and share high-quality humanistic care. SurgSci Pet Ultrasound Scalpel---Custom Made for Veterinarians | Surgsci
SurgSci Pet Ultrasound Scalpel---Custom Made for Veterinarians | Surgsci
Ultrasonic scalpel surgery has been widely used in human surgery, but there is a big difference between pets and humans. Therefore, SurgSci has independently developed a professional pet ultrasonic scalpel for pet doctors. It will be more suitable for pet surgery applications.   1. Pet Ultrasonic Scalpel System: The system directly sets the coagulation function most commonly used by domestic pet doctors (corresponding to the MIN key of the blade) and the cutting function (corresponding to the Max button of the shear). More importantly, the new system of SurgSci pet ultrasonic scalpel is equipped with two operating modes, ECO mode and Dynamic mode, the schematic diagram is as follows:     The ultrasonic scalpel system specially designed for pet doctors automatically configures coagulation and cutting functions. It is more convenient and practical to completely transition from manual operation to automatic operation. At the same time, we have increased the mode selection to meet the doctor’s requirements for higher coagulation efficiency and faster cutting speed.   2. Different shears automatically adapt to the best parameters When the handle and shear are installed, they need to be recognized by the generator. The generator automatically enters the screen of shear type selection. The screen shows as follow:   Three different lengths of shears need to be selected to pass the confirmation. The generator will control the excitation of the shear according to the best parameters matched by the selected one. To summarize, the advantages of SurgSci pet ultrasonic scalpel system are as follows: After the selected model has passed the confirmation, the system will match the best parameters of different types of shears. Different Surgical Methods for Local Resection of Rectal Tumors | Surgsci
Different Surgical Methods for Local Resection of Rectal Tumors | Surgsci
Compared with radical resection of rectal tumors, local resection of rectal tumors has the advantages of small surgical trauma, low risk, fast postoperative recovery and short hospital stay, in particular, it is necessary to avoid artificial anus dysfunction and obstacles caused by radical surgery and postoperative voiding function and sexual function.   There are many surgical methods and methods for local excision of rectal tumors, such as transanal approach, transsacral approach, transsphincter approach, and transanal endoscopic approach. They overlap and differ in surgical indications.Due to the different surgical approaches and methods, postoperative complications also vary. Therefore, familiarity with these surgical methods, and on the premise of strictly grasping the surgical indications, correct selection of surgical methods can significantly improve surgical efficacy and reduce surgical complications.   At present, there are various approaches and methods for local excision of early rectal tumors. The following is a brief introduction to various surgical methods for local excision of rectal tumors. 1. Transanal local excision of rectal tumor This is one of the most ancient and common surgical methods. Its advantages are direct surgical approach, simple operation, no surgical incision on the body surface after operation, and less trauma and surgical risk. But its disadvantages are: (1) Due to the position of the patient during the operation, most doctors can only perform surgery in a sitting position, and the surgeon's line of sight and the lesion are in the horizontal position instead of the traditional overlooking surgery that conforms to the surgeon's habits. (2) The degree of freedom of operation of surgical instruments in the rectum and anal canal is limited, and can only be performed within 45 degrees at most, and many fine operations cannot be performed. (3) It is difficult to expose the surgical field and the operating space is narrow, so the accuracy of the operation is greatly affected. (4) The technical difficulties and shortcomings will become more and more obvious as the distance between the tumor and the anal verge increases. (5) Surgical specimens might be broken or cannot be evaluated during pathological examination. As a result, it is difficult to provide meaningful guidance for postoperative treatment of patients.   All of these may ultimately bring some disadvantages and uncertainties to the future surgical efficacy. Surgical indications for transanal resection are therefore usually limited to: ž The lesion is located within 4-5cm from the anal verge. ž The diameter of the lesion is not greater than 2cm. ž If it is a malignant tumor, it must be Tis-T1N0. The more common complications after this operation are postoperative wound bleeding and urinary retention. Accurate mastery of suturing techniques and preoperative prophylactic placement of urinary catheters can prevent the occurrence of these complications.   2. Local resection of rectal tumor through the sacrococcygeal region Transsacral rectal tumor resection is also known as Kraske's operation; the procedure was pioneered by German surgeon Kraske in 1885. The surgical steps are briefly described as follows: The patient was placed in a prone position, and a straight incision was made from the sacrococcygeal joint to the anus. After the coccyx was removed, the pelvic floor muscles were separated to expose the posterior rectal wall, and the posterior rectal wall was incised at the upper edge of the puborectalis to expose the tumor in the rectal cavity. After resection of the tumor, wounds such as the rectum were repaired and sutured. Compared with transanal local resection of rectal tumors, Kraske's surgical field is slightly improved, and the operation is also in line with the surgeon's habits, but its disadvantages are as follows: (1) The requirements for the location of the lesion are stricter. The lesion on the anterior wall of the rectum is the best indication. For tumors located on the posterior wall of the rectum or less than 4 cm or more than 7 cm from the anal verge, due to unclear location of the lesion or poor exposure of the surgical field It will make the operation very difficult. (2) Long-term sacrococcygeal pain is often associated with coccyxectomy, especially when sitting. (3) The incidence of postoperative wound infection and rectocutaneous fistula is relatively high. A Japanese author reported that the incidence of rectal skin fistula was as high as 20%. The occurrence of the latter will cause greater psychological and physical intrusion to the patient, and the treatment and treatment of this complication are also relatively complicated. In severe cases, a temporary enterostomy is required. This treatment is difficult for patients to understand and accept. Therefore, at present, very few people in the field of colorectal surgery in China use this kind of operation to treat rectal tumors.   3. Local resection of rectal tumor through the anal sphincter This operation is also known as the Mason operation. Introduced by British surgeon Mason in 1970.   The surgical steps are briefly described as follows; the patient is placed in the prone position. Make a straight incision from the sacrococcygeal joint to the anal edge, cut the skin and subcutaneous tissue, and decide whether to remove the coccyx according to the location of the tumor (when the lower edge of the tumor is greater than 6-7cm from the anal edge, the coccyx needs to be removed). After removing the coccyx, cut off the external anal sphincter For the superficial group and the subcutaneous ring, cut the mesorectum, cut off the puborectalis muscle, expose the posterior wall of the rectum, incise the posterior wall of the rectum from the anal edge to the proximal side, and open and expose the rectum. After resection of the lesion, the rectum and external sphincters of each group were repaired and sutured.   Compared with the previous two operations, the biggest advantage of this operation is that the exposure of the operation field has been greatly improved, and the surgeon can perform various fine operations in a spacious operation field, and the operation quality and curative effect have been greatly improved. Moreover, due to its special surgical approach and surgical method, its surgical indications are broader. All rectal tumors within 8cm from the anal verge, such as rectal adenomas, including carpet-like villous adenomas, early cancers of adenomas, early rectal cancers, rectal carcinoids, and rectal stromal tumors (malignant tumors should be classified within Tis-T1N0 stage) Rectovaginal fistula and rectourethral fistula can be treated with this surgical method.   4. Transanal endoscopic microsurgery TEM In the 1980s, German surgeon Gerhard Buess and Wolf Company jointly invented and developed a set of transanal endoscopic microsurgery system, namely TEM. This is a new surgery that combines modern laparoscopy, endoscopy and minimally invasive techniques. The main components of the system are; 1 Special rectoscope, two lengths of 12cm and 20cm are available for different conditions. 2 double ball joint movable arm device to fix the rectoscope. 3 The endoscopic system can display the magnified surgical field of view on the image monitor in real time. 4 Inflation and flushing suction system, the former can keep the air pressure in the intestinal cavity constant, and the latter keeps the operating field clear and clean. 5 Special instruments include needle-shaped electric scalpels with different curvatures for intracavitary surgery, aspirators, and needle holders that can automatically return suture needles, etc.   These well-made surgical instruments provide a reliable guarantee for precise operation. Compared with traditional local resection of rectal tumors, TEM has excellent surgical field exposure and a large enough operating space. Excellent surgical conditions and surgical instruments have significantly improved the quality of local resection of tumors, and enabled patients to recover during surgery. Compared with traditional surgery, it has obvious advantages in terms of bleeding, rapid postoperative recovery and shortened hospitalization days.   Due to its special design concept and the excellent performance of the instrument, TEM covers almost all the diseases that can be operated by Mason's operation, and expands the surgical site from the original 8cm from the anal verge to the colorectum within 20cm from the anal verge. Based on the above advantages, TEM has become the first choice for local resection of rectal tumors at home and abroad, and is recommended by NCCN as the first choice for resection of early rectal cancer. The more common complications of TEM surgery include postoperative bleeding and pelvic infection. The former is related to unskilled suturing techniques during the operation, and the latter is related to improper protection techniques and treatment measures when the rectum is cut through during the operation. However, with the continuous proficiency and accumulation of surgical techniques and experience, these complications will become less and less common.   The article is traslated from Qiu Zhonghui '直肠肿瘤局部切除的几种手术方式'.   About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. These incisions allow surgeons to insert cannulas through which surgical instruments can be introduced. To ensure optimal access to the operative field (in this case, the pelvis), trocars should be arranged in an arc. Laparoscopic surgery poke hole is the channel for implanting laparoscope and surgical instruments, which is equivalent to the incision of laparotomy, but the choice of poke hole placement is completely different from that of open surgery.   Choice of Puncture Point   1. Observation hole In terms of histological origin, the tissue structure at the umbilical foramen on the abdominal wall is the weakest, with few blood vessels, and its anatomical layers from outside to inside are skin, thin subcutaneous tissue, rectus abdominis tendon, posterior sheath, and parietal peritoneum. Therefore, the umbilical foramen is the most suitable site for blind punctures such as observation holes. For most laparoscopic operations, a puncture hole of 10 mm is often selected in the middle of the umbilical cord or slightly above or below the umbilical cord. If the umbilical foramen is too deep, or if thereis infection, you should choose below the umbilicus. If the pelvic mass is too large, supraumbilical puncture can also be selected.   2. Operating hole   The selection of the puncture point of the operation hole follows the principles of easy operation, aesthetics, and minimal trauma. At the same time, the inferior epigastric artery and other running vessels must be avoided, such as the superficial epigastric artery, deep circumflex iliac artery, and superficial circumflex iliac artery. The first operation hole: the observation hole. The second operation hole: the 1-2cm medial side of the left anterior superior iliac spine is the common puncture site. The third operation hole: at the McBurney point on the right. The fourth operation hole: The puncture point can generally be outside the midpoint of the connection between the observation hole and the second operation hole, and the distance from the above two operation holes is greater than 8-9cm. If necessary, for the convenience of operation, puncture can be done at any point on the abdominal wall.   Puncture method 1. Trocar direct insertion method Do not form pneumoperitoneum first, and insert Trocar directly. The technical requirements are relatively high and only suitable for experienced surgeons. 2. Direct-looking trocar puncture method After the skin is cut at the first Trocar, a laparoscope is inserted into the Trocar, and the incision of each layer of abdominal wall tissue can be observed under the microscope, thus ensuring the safety of the operation. 3. Closed Enter the Veress Veress needle, and then enter the first Trocar after the pneumoperitoneum is formed. This is a classic puncture mode and is most widely used in clinical practice. However, "blind puncture" can cause damage to retroperitoneal vessels, abdominal wall vessels, and gastrointestinal tract. 4. Open After incision of each layer of tissue in the umbilicus into the abdominal cavity, a blunt Trocar was inserted to form a pneumoperitoneum. It is time-consuming, and there is a possibility of air leakage due to the incision being too large. It is suitable for high-risk patients with a history of abdominal surgery or suspected abdominal adhesions, and can also be used for laparoscopic surgery during pregnancy.   Poke hole placement positions for different procedures 1. Laparoscopic appendectomy Poke a hole on the left side next to the umbilicus as an observation hole, poke a hole horizontally at the level of the navel at the outer edge of the right rectus abdominis as the main operation hole, and poke a hole at McBurney’s point as a secondary operation hole. Or poke a hole 2 cm medial to the left anterior superior iliac spine as the main operation hole, and poke a hole 2 cm above the pubic symphysis as the auxiliary operation hole. 2. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy Poke holes at the lower edge of the umbilical cord as observation holes, and poke holes under the xiphoid process, right midclavicular line, and right anterior axillary line as the main, auxiliary operation holes, and assistant auxiliary operation holes. 3. Laparoscopic liver lobectomy Poke a hole on the upper or lower border of the umbilicus to make an observation hole. The main operation hole is as close to the lesion as possible. If the lesion is in the right liver, take it under the xiphoid process; The auxiliary operation hole must be kept at a certain distance from the main operation hole and the lens. Generally, the subcostal margin of the right midclavicular line and the subcostal margin of the right anterior axillary line are used, and additional operation holes can be added according to the actual situation. 4. Laparoscopic hepatic cyst drainage Poke holes at the lower edge of the umbilicus as observation holes, and poke holes under the xiphoid process, at the level of the right midaxillary line at the level of the umbilicus, or below the costal margin of the right midclavicular line as the main and auxiliary operation holes, respectively. 5. Laparoscopic splenectomy Poke holes below the umbilical cord as observation holes, poke holes at the intersection of the left midclavicular line and umbilicus horizontal line as the main operation hole, poke holes about 3 cm above the umbilicus through the rectus abdominis line as auxiliary operation holes, and poke holes at the left anterior axillary line and below the spleen as secondary operations Auxiliary operating hole. 6. Laparoscopic tail pancreatectomy An observation hole is made below the umbilical cord at the lower edge of the umbilical cord, the main operating hole is made at a position 2 cm above and below the left midclavicular line and the umbilicus horizontal line, an auxiliary hole is made at a position about 8 cm above the umbilicus to the left of the right midclavicular line, and 2 cm below the costal margin of the right anterior axillary line As an assistant to operate the hole. 7. Laparoscopic duodenal ulcer perforation repair Poke holes at the lower edge of the umbilicus as observation holes, and poke holes 1 cm below the costal margin on the left anterior axillary line and at the level of the left midclavian line at the level of the umbilicus as the main and auxiliary operation holes, respectively, with a distance of about 1 cm between the two holes.     About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. Five Common Tumors In Dogs | SurgSci
Five Common Tumors In Dogs | SurgSci
Dogs have become an integral part of our lives and many people consider them as family companions. Just like in human medicine, tumors are also a concern for pets. Once dogs suffer from tumors, it can seriously affect their health. Here are five common tumors in dogs:   1. Mast cell tumor This is one of the most common skin tumors in dogs, accounting for 16-21% of all skin tumors. Mast cells are a type of immune cell mainly associated with allergic reactions and inflammation. Its symptoms are similar to allergic reactions, such as redness and swelling of the surrounding skin, edema, increased vascular permeability leading to bleeding tendency, and may even cause symptoms such as gastric ulcer, hypotension and shock. It can easily be overlooked because its touch is similar to lipoma.   2. Lipoma Older Dogs are more prone to lipomas. This tumor occurs between the subcutaneous tissues and is basically a benign tumor. If the lipoma gradually grows, you can take some anti-tumor drugs, such as Zhongliu instant beef tablets, to inhibit tumor growth. If the lipoma is too large or ulcerated, try to go to the hospital for resection. If it is a malignant tumor, it can be treated according to the doctor’s advice.   3. Mammary Gland Tumors The ratio of benign to malignant tumors is 1:1, and most of them occur in dogs after 6 or 7 years old, and most of them occur in 8-10-year-old female dogs who have not been sterilized. Some studies have pointed out that sterilization before the first estrus reduces the incidence of breast tumors to 0.5%; sterilization after the second estrus, the incidence rate is 8%; sterilization after the third estrus, the incidence rate rises to 25%.   4. Lymphoma Lymphoma in dogs can occur in the lymph nodes, spleen and any other organ; however, multicentric lymphoma is the most common type. The initial symptoms are fever, loss of appetite, weight loss etc., which are relatively not obvious characteristics of the disease. Generally, when it is discovered, it is in the advanced stage of lymphadenopathy. Lymphoma is one of the few tumors that respond well to chemotherapy. If the dog undergoes chemotherapy in time, there is about 80%-95% chance for the tumor to regress, and 20%-25% of the dog can survive for 2 years; but without chemotherapy, the survival time may be shortened to 1-3 months.   5. Skin Squamous Cell Tumor This is a common disease in dogs and cats. Cats mainly occur on the head and nasal plane, while dogs often occur on the nasal plane, skin and between the toes.

Luxating Patella in Dogs | Surgsci
Luxating Patella in Dogs | Surgsci
Luxating patella means the kneecap moves out of place when the knee bends. It is usually something dogs are born with. A luxating patella can go inside or outside the leg when it pops out of the groove in the thighbone. The kneecap should stay in a groove at the end of the femur. When a dog’s knee moves, the kneecap goes up and down in this groove. But sometimes the kneecap slips out (luxates) in some dogs. Most of the time, a luxating patella in dogs goes inside, or toward the other back leg.   Some dogs have this problem more often or worse than others. Dogs with a luxating patella may walk or run fine, then suddenly lift a back leg for a few steps. Dogs with a bad case may need pain medicine, joint help, or surgery. Sometimes a luxating patella can get better with exercise and medicine.     About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. What is Colon Cancer Surgery | Surgsci
What is Colon Cancer Surgery | Surgsci
Colon cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the large intestine (colon). The colon is the final part of the digestive tract. Colon cancer typically affects older adults, though it can happen at any age.   Treatment for colon cancer usually involves surgery to remove the cancer. Other treatments, such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy, might also be recommended.   Today, doctors use two approaches for colon cancer surgery: Open surgery and minimally invasive surgery. Open surgery is the conventional approach, using an abdominal incision, and may require a longer hospital stay. Minimally invasive surgery is performed using laparoscopic or robotic tools, this surgery requires a smaller incision and allows for a quicker recovery.   The ultrasonic scalpel is a surgical instrument that uses ultrasonic energy to cut and coagulate tissue. It is used in colon cancer surgery to remove the cancerous part of the colon while cutting through the tissue and sealing blood vessels at the same time. The use of an ultrasonic scalpel has several advantages including less bleeding, less pain, and faster recovery time.   SurgSci ultrasonic scalpel has the following advantages: 1. Reduce adhesion, eschar, and smoke, and obtain a clear surgical field of vision. 2. It integrates separation, cutting and coagulation to save operation time. 3. One operation can cut and coagulate blood vessels or tissue bundles with a diameter of 5mm. 4. The operation efficiency is higher, the speed is faster, the trauma is small, and the hemostatic effect is good.     About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. What is Sigmoid Colon Cancer? | Surgsci
What is Sigmoid Colon Cancer? | Surgsci
Sigmoid colon cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the sigmoid colon, which is the area of the large intestine located above the rectum. It originates from the cells of the glandular epithelium and accounts for 34% of the total number of cases of colorectal cancer. The exact causes of sigmoid colon cancer are not known, but there are several factors that may increase the risk of developing this disease. These include a sedentary lifestyle and an unhealthy diet that is low in fiber and high in fatty, fried, and spicy foods. Other risk factors include constipation, which increases the contact time between toxic food processing products and the organ mucosa. In its early stages, sigmoid colon cancer often has no symptoms or only mild symptoms, which can make it difficult to diagnose. As the disease progresses, symptoms may include abdominal pain and discomfort, flatulence, a feeling of incomplete bowel movement, and an alternation of constipation and diarrhea. In some cases, it may be possible to feel a tumor-like formation in the left half of the abdomen. Diagnosis of sigmoid colon cancer is made based on a combination of factors including complaints, medical history, external examination data, ultrasound, rectosigmoscopy, irrigoscopy, MRI, biopsy and other studies. Treatment for sigmoid colon cancer typically involves surgery to remove the affected part of the colon. In some cases, chemotherapy or radiation therapy may also be used to help control the disease. The prognosis for sigmoid colon cancer depends on many factors including the stage at which it is diagnosed and the overall health of the patient.   For more information, please visit our website: https://www.surgscience.com/ https://www.disposabletrocar.com/ Contact Us: Email: service@surgsci.com Wechat/WhatsApp: +86-15826764336

What is a Trocar | The Differences Between Reusable Trocar and Disposable Trocar
What is a Trocar | The Differences Between Reusable Trocar and Disposable Trocar
A trocar is a medical device that is made up of an awl (which may be a metal or plastic with a pointed or tapered tip), a cannula (essentially a hollow tube), and a seal. Trocars are placed through the abdomen during laparoscopic surgery and function as a portal for the subsequent placement of other instruments, such as graspers, scissors, staplers, etc. Trocars also allow the escape of gas or fluid from organs within the body.   The word trocar comes from French trocart, trois-quarts (three-fourths), from trois ‘three’ and carre ‘side, face of an instrument’. Originally, doctors used trocars to relieve pressure build-up of fluids (edema) or gases (bloating). Patents for trocars appeared early in the 19th century, although their use dated back possibly thousands of years.   There are two types of trocars: reusable and disposable. Reusable trocars come with two different types of tips – conical and pyramidal. The advantage of using a reusable trocar is that it provides hospitals with a cost-effective alternative to disposable trocars. However, one disadvantage is that the tips may become dull over time, requiring more manual energy for the trocar insertion.   Disposable trocars are intended for use on a single patient and are subsequently disposed of. Some single-use trocars offer greater patient safety due to the technique used to insert them. Some advantages of laparoscopic disposable trocars include their ergonomic design which offers increased comfort and better control. And minimizes the risk of accidental injury. The disposable trocars allows for the greatest synergy between hand and trocar for penetrating the abdominal wall, has a wider visual scope, and eliminates inadvertent closure of the gas inflation valve due to colliding with the abdominal wall.   For more information, please visit our website: https://www.surgscience.com/ https://www.disposabletrocar.com/   Contact Us: Email: service@surgsci.com Wechat/WhatsApp: +86-15826764336

Hysterectomy: An Overview of the Procedure, Pre-Operative Preparation, Surgical Techniques, and Potential Complications | Surgsci
Hysterectomy: An Overview of the Procedure, Pre-Operative Preparation, Surgical Techniques, and Potential Complications | Surgsci
A hysterectomy is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of a woman’s uterus. After the procedure, the patient will no longer be able to conceive and, if they have not yet reached menopause, they will no longer menstruate. Hysterectomies are performed to treat conditions that affect the female reproductive system, such as heavy menstrual bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, non-cancerous growths (fibroids), and various forms of cancer. A hysterectomy is a major surgery with a lengthy recovery period and is only considered after less invasive treatments have been attempted.   Once the surgery date has been scheduled, preparations for a hysterectomy begin. The patient’s healthcare provider may suggest pre-operative lifestyle changes, such as exercising and quitting smoking, to get their body in the best possible shape for surgery. As the surgery date approaches, the patient will receive specific instructions for the day of their hysterectomy, including which medications to take or avoid, what to wear and bring with them, and when to stop eating.   There are several types of hysterectomy. The type received depends on the reason for the surgery and how much of the patient’s uterus and surrounding reproductive system can safely remain in place. The main types of hysterectomy are: total hysterectomy – removal of the uterus and cervix (neck of the uterus); this is the most common type of operation; subtotal hysterectomy – removal of the main body of the uterus while leaving the cervix in place; total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy – removal of the uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes (salpingectomy), and ovaries (oophorectomy); radical hysterectomy – removal of the uterus and surrounding tissues, including the fallopian tubes, part of the vagina, ovaries, lymph glands, and fatty tissue. There are three methods for performing a hysterectomy: laparoscopic hysterectomy (keyhole surgery) – small incisions are made in the abdomen and the uterus is removed through an incision in the vagina; vaginal hysterectomy – removal of the uterus through an incision at the top of the vagina; abdominal hysterectomy – removal of the uterus through an incision in the lower abdomen.   Like all surgeries, a hysterectomy can sometimes result in complications. Some possible complications include: complications from general anesthesia; bleeding; damage to the ureter; damage to the bladder or bowel; infection; blood clots; vaginal issues; ovarian failure; early menopause. A hysterectomy is a major surgery. The patient may need to stay in the hospital for up to five days after surgery and it can take six to eight weeks to fully recover. Recovery times may also vary depending on the type of hysterectomy performed. During this time, it is important for the patient to rest as much as possible and avoid lifting heavy objects. Their abdominal muscles and tissues need time to heal.   To learn more, you can check out our website at the following links: https://www.surgscience.com/ https://www.disposabletrocar.com/   If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us: Email: service@surgsci.com Wechat/WhatsApp: +86-15826764336

Most frequently, they are used during laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, which is a procedure designed to cause minimal invasion to a patient requiring abdominal surgery.   A study found that the use of a valveless trocar significantly reduced CO2 consumption during transperitoneal laparoscopy. The valveless trocar also demonstrated significantly reduced CO2 elimination and absorption when compared with the standard trocar.   SurgSci Without Valve trocars have the following advantages: 1. Olive shaped top suits better to the palm, and feels palm-to-hand contact more comfortable. Make puncture much easier and more comfortable. 2. Durable layer sealing structure guarantees ZERO air leakage. Finger rests designed with concave fit fingers perfectly. Help surgeons easily rotate the trocar during puncture. 3. Thread cannula is designed with inverted tooth structure to ensure the trocar is firmly fixed on the abdominal wall during operation. 4. The sharp cone head separates tissue fibers rather than cutting them. Transparent material ensures clear images are obtained during puncture.     About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. An Overview of SurgSci BluntPass Trocars: Features and Benefits
An Overview of SurgSci BluntPass Trocars: Features and Benefits
Blunt tip trocars are a type of disposable trocar that offer atraumatic blunt obturators, stable fixation, and excellent port site sealing when performing the Hasson technique. They are simple to adjust and easy to use and are available in two models - with a latex and latex-free balloon. These trocars can be used for minimally invasive endoscopic surgery, where the puncture level can be observed in real-time through the display, making it more safe and controllable.   SurgSci BluntPass Trocars are available in two sizes, with diameters of 10mm and 12mm, and a length of 100mm. The non-bladed obturator points push the tissue out of the way instead of cutting it, reducing penetration damage and shortening recovery time. The main features of SurgSci BluntPass include an ergonomic trocar handle, a double-seal structure and blunt puncturing tip.   The ergonomic trocar handle can fit perfectly into the hand, offering superior comfort and stability. It allows for easy rotation during insertion. The trocar is also designed with a double-seal structure, including a detachable petal-shaped seal and a one-way four-pointed-star-shaped sealing valve. This structure can accommodate the entry of instruments of different sizes while ensuring that the pneumoperitoneum is maintained during operation. Additionally, the rounded blunt tip can avoid damage to the abdominal wall during insertion and is suitable for secondary puncture.   Contact Us: Email: service@surgsci.com Website: www.surgscience.com WhatsApp: +86-15826764336

Understanding Uterine Lesions: Causes and Treatment Options | Surgsci
Understanding Uterine Lesions: Causes and Treatment Options | Surgsci
Uterine lesions are abnormal tissue growths or patches in the uterus. These can be caused by a variety of conditions, including endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and uterine polyps. The treatment for these lesions depends on the specific condition that is causing them. Endometriosis is a chronic condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it. This condition is estimated to affect 10 to 15 percent of women of reproductive age. Endometriosis can be classified into different stages based on factors such as the number, location, and severity of the lesions. Uterine polyps, also known as endometrial polyps, are growths that attach to the inner wall of the uterus and extend into it. They form when cells in the lining of the uterus (the endometrium) overgrow. These polyps are typically benign (noncancerous), but some can be cancerous or become cancerous (precancerous polyps). Treatment options for endometriosis may include hormonal medications or surgical removal of the lesions. For uterine polyps, treatment may involve watchful waiting, medication, or surgical removal. It is important to consult with your doctor or seek a referral to a specialist to ensure that you receive all available treatment options.     About Surgsci Surgsci Medical Ltd. aims to improve people's health and quality of life. SurgSci Retrieval Bag: An Essential Tool for Safe and Effective Laparoscopic Surgery
SurgSci Retrieval Bag: An Essential Tool for Safe and Effective Laparoscopic Surgery
A disposable retrieval bag is a medical device used during laparoscopic surgical procedures to collect and extract tissue specimens from the body. These bags are designed to be used once and then discarded, hence the name “disposable” retrieval bag. They are typically made of a flexible plastic material and come in various sizes to accommodate different types of tissue specimens.   To use a disposable retrieval bag, the surgeon first makes a small incision in the patient’s body and inserts a laparoscope, which is a thin tube with a camera attached to its end. The laparoscope allows the surgeon to see inside the body and perform the surgery. Once the tissue specimen has been located, the surgeon inserts the retrieval bag through the same incision used for the laparoscope. The bag is attached to a long shaft with an introducer at one end and a handle at the other.   The surgeon uses the handle to deploy the bag within the body cavity. Some retrieval bags have support arms that facilitate bag opening and tissue capture during laparoscopic procedures1. Once the bag is open, the surgeon uses surgical instruments to place the tissue specimen inside. After the specimen has been collected, the surgeon closes the bag by pulling on a string with a slip knot. The bag is then carefully extracted from the body through the same incision used for its insertion.   Disposable retrieval bags are crucial in ensuring that tissue specimens are collected and extracted safely and effectively during laparoscopic surgery. They help prevent complications such as tumor metastases and heterotopic growth of normal cells. With their ease of use and reliable performance, disposable retrieval bags have become an essential tool in modern laparoscopic surgery.   https://www.surgscience.com/news-detail-3570601 The video shows the steps of using a SurgSci Retrieval Bag. Minimally Invasive Mastectomy: An Approach to Breast Cancer Treatment | Surgsci
Minimally Invasive Mastectomy: An Approach to Breast Cancer Treatment | Surgsci
The Laparoscopic axillary approach is a minimally invasive surgery performed using very small incisions and special tools. A small camera called a laparoscope provides video images of the treatment area for the surgeon, eliminating the need for larger incisions in open surgery. Mastectomy is a surgical option for treating breast cancer and is the only surgical option to reduce the risk of breast cancer. It involves the removal of the entire breast, including skin, breast tissue, areola, and nipple, as well as most of the lymph nodes in the armpit (armpit). However, most of the pectoral muscles are preserved. Therefore, the laparoscopic axillary approach used for right mastectomy may involve using laparoscopic techniques to remove the right breast and most of the right axillary lymph nodes. This method may reduce the size of the incision, thereby reducing pain and recovery time. However, the use of this specific technique will depend on many factors, including the patient’s health status, tumor size and location, and the doctor’s experience and expertise.

Hernia: Causes, Types, and Treatment Options | Surgsci
Hernia: Causes, Types, and Treatment Options | Surgsci
A hernia occurs when an internal part of the body pushes through a weakness in the muscle or surrounding tissue wall. A hernia usually develops between your chest and hips. In many cases, it causes no or very few symptoms, although you may notice a swelling or lump in your tummy (abdomen) or groin. The lump can often be pushed back in or disappears when you lie down. Coughing or straining may make the lump appear.   There are several types of hernias, including inguinal hernias, femoral hernias, umbilical hernias, and hiatus hernias. Treatment for a hernia usually involves surgery to repair the hernia. The three main types of hernia surgery are open repair, laparoscopic (minimally invasive) repair, and robotic repair.   During open surgery, the surgeon makes a cut called an incision near the hernia. The bulging tissue is returned back into the body through the incision. The weak muscle that allowed the hernia to occur is then repaired. It may be stitched back together or, more commonly, patched with a synthetic material called mesh.   Laparoscopic surgery involves making multiple tiny incisions around the hernia. A laparoscope, a thin telescope-like instrument, is inserted through one of these incisions. The surgeon uses the laparoscope to view the inside of your abdomen on a monitor and performs the surgery using special instruments inserted through the other incisions.   Robotic surgery is similar to laparoscopic surgery but involves the use of a surgical robot to perform the procedure. The surgeon controls the robot from a console in the operating room.   SurgSci is a laparoscopic instruments manufacturer and supplier in China that produces ultrasonic scalpels that can be used during hernia repair surgery. Ultrasonic Scalpel System uses high-frequency mechanical vibration to change the structure and state of biological tissues. It is mainly used for surgical operations such as cutting biological tissues and vascular closure. Some advantages of using an ultrasonic scalpel during hernia repair include less bleeding, less damage to surrounding tissues, and faster postoperative recovery. Understanding Sleeve Gastrectomy
Understanding Sleeve Gastrectomy
Gastric reduction surgery, also known as sleeve gastrectomy, is a surgical weight loss procedure. This surgery is usually performed laparoscopically, requiring the insertion of miniature instruments through multiple small incisions in the upper abdomen. During sleeve gastrectomy, about 80% of the stomach is removed, leaving a banana-shaped tube stomach. Limiting the size of the stomach limits the amount of food that can be ingested. In addition, the surgery also promotes hormonal changes that help with weight loss. These hormonal changes also help alleviate weight-related diseases such as hypertension or heart disease.   The purpose of sleeve gastrectomy is to help lose excess weight and reduce the risk of potentially life-threatening weight-related health problems, including: heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnea, type 2 diabetes, stroke, cancer and infertility. Sleeve gastrectomy is usually only performed after you have tried to lose weight by improving your diet and exercise habits.   The specific surgery depends onpatient's personal situation and the practices of the hospital or doctor. Some sleeve gastrectomies are performed through traditional large (open) abdominal incisions. However, sleeve gastrectomy is usually performed laparoscopically, requiring the insertion of small instruments through multiple small incisions in the upper abdomen. The patient will receive general anesthesia before surgery begins. Anesthesia is a medication that keeps you asleep and comfortable during surgery. During sleeve gastrectomy, the doctor creates a narrow gastric sleeve by vertically suturing the stomach and removing the larger curved part of the stomach. The surgery usually takes one to two hours.   After sleeve gastrectomy, the patient's diet should be sugar-free non-carbonated liquids for the first 7 days, gradually transitioning to pureed foods over the next three weeks, gradually transitioning to regular foods about four weeks after surgery. You will need to take a multivitamin twice daily for life, supplement calcium once daily and inject vitamin B-12 once monthly.   Sleeve gastrectomy can help with long-term weight loss. The amount of weight loss depends on changes in one's lifestyle. It may help to lose more than 60% of one's excess weight within two years or even more.

The Advantages of Disposable Bladeless Laparoscopic Trocars
The Advantages of Disposable Bladeless Laparoscopic Trocars
A disposable bladeless laparoscopic trocar is a medical instrument used to puncture the abdominal wall tissue during laparoscopic examination and surgery to establish a working channel for abdominal surgery. It is designed to be used once and then disposed of. The bladeless design of the trocar has several advantages. With a bladeless plastic tip, it is sharp enough to easily penetrate through the tissue, but minimizes the possible injury to the patient. The non-blade piercing cone head separates tissue instead of cutting it, enabling smooth insertion by reducing penetrating damage. This can reduce the incidence of puncture hole hernia after surgery. Bladeless trocars also often have an optical feature, allowing for a wider visual scope and enabling the surgeon to control the whole process of abdominal wall puncture under the direct view of an endoscope. This can further reduce the risk of damaging abdominal tissue. Overall, disposable bladeless laparoscopic trocars offer a safe and effective solution for establishing a working channel during laparoscopic surgery. They are designed to minimize tissue damage and reduce the risk of complications, while providing a clear visual field for the surgeon.
